Hello Bytown Musicians!
We would like to welcome back our previous musicians and welcome all our new musicians to the Beginner Band. Don’t be too hard on yourself if you have taken some time off this past holiday season, we will all get back into it!
This week we started off with some of the first lines in the book and then jumped to 41, 52, 54, and 58. We began our work on In the Wake of Spring and it is sounding good already! Remember to use light, legato, doo-ey tonguing so the lines flow beautifully with no gaps. The moving notes (quarter and eighth notes) are important and the long notes (whole and half notes) and less important.
