Rehearsal Notes for January 21

Hello JJB,

I am very impressed by your rhythmic accuracy and the musical feeling that is coming through in the tunes –  and it is only week 3!  Continue to listen to the links and look at the music to really get the rhythms and tunes in your ear.

Did you know that practicing long LOW tones will really help you as you aim to play the high pitches?

Use the link and code in your book to access the Interactive Practice Studio (IPS) to practice rhythms and improvisation.  This will lead to confidence in improvising.

This week, work on accurate fingering for the solo sections for your instrument in each piece.   We noted these in rehearsal, and I will email these to you and to our clinicians later this week.
