Rehearsal Note for January 14

Hello JJB,

Reminders for this week:

Warm up using long tones, and aim to make a clear, steady, beautiful tone.  Use the exercises in our book, along with the link and code to access the online Practice Studio to practice rhythms and improvization.

Listen to each listening link a couple of times, and write in pencil on your music which instrument(s) are playing the tune over the applicable measures.  When practicing, use this information to help you to decide on the dynamic level you will play in each section of the piece, as well as which measures to focus on in your practicing.  Measures where your instrument is featured should be included, but don’t feel you have to learn it perfectly within a few days.  Break down the “solo/feature”  into manageable bites, and work on a small section each week.
