Post April 9th Concert note

We are meeting Tuesday, April 11 at DC in Fellowship Hall in the basement at 6:15 for a rehearsal for a concert at St. Vincent’s on Cambridge St. (Free parking will be provided, enter off Primrose). The performance on April 18 will be in the newly-renovated Atrium at 6:30, so we will need to set up and warm up around 5:45 (percussion 5:30).

We have been asked to play Happy Birthday as a surprise!  (SO…. If you feel like a challenge,  try starting on CONCERT F (which is G for clarinets, tenor sax and trumpets, and D for alto sax), and try playing Happy Birthday by ear.  If you can’t, don’t worry… you will play harmony by playing three notes total… Concert Bb, Eb and F.

The pieces we will most probably play are:

Lines 14, 31, 53, 55, 56, 57, 89, 131(brass), 186 (winds)

Songs of Africa (number 3)

The Hanging Tree

Crusade

Celtic Air and Dance

In the Wake of Spring

Visions of Aranjuez

25 or 6 to 4

See everyone tomorrow!  Let us know if you cannot attend the rehearsal but can come to the concert ( so we will know our instrumentation),  or if you will not be able to come for the concert.  (If it is because you don’t have transportation… let me know!)  If you could give someone a ride, please tell me at rehearsal tomorrow.
