The OTown Octaves are half way through the fall season, and sounding fine.
Dates to remember:
- Thursday, November 14, after practice, social outing at the Colonnade Restaurant, 2140 Carling Ave.
- OTown Octaves community concert, probably Thursday, December 5 in the afternoon, location to be determined. Sheila is open to ideas as to where we could play (senior’s centre or other community venue). Contact Sheila with your suggestions.at s.white@ncf.ca
- Ottawa New Horizons concert, Sunday December 15, 2019 2 pm at Brookfield High School
The clinician for Percussion, Alec Joly Pavelich, has obtained a position with the Southbank Symphonia in London England. Congratulations Alec.
Put Air for Band on the back burner, and keep practicing the following from the method book, Tradition of Excellence Book 2 : pages 15, 42, 43. Also look at #43, 44, 87, 100, 153
