Hello JJB Musicians,
I received many kind comments on our performance Dec. 16, not just from the audience but from fellow band leaders. What a great ending to a fun fall session! Thanks to everyone for your enthusiasm and hard work on the technical aspects, which certainly lifted the notes from the page and engaged our audience! Your thoughtful card and comments, and the gifts of chocolate and a book by Adrian Cho to enjoy over the holidays is much appreciated.
We will regroup on January 7 at Brookfield. We are already full for the upcoming winter session, and I promise to send you a link or two to enjoy over the holidays. I am selecting the music now, so if you have suggestions, do send them in this week. Take out”Round Midnight” if you have a mind to practice during the break, and who knows … maybe Ol’ Saint Nick will catch your solo! I hear he loves jazz!
