Hi Jazz Banders – well the season is off to a great start! We’re putting the “big” in “big band” – we’ve got 31 people registered for DJB this term. A lot of people were away this week, but hopefully next week we’ll be almost up to a full house. For those of you who registered after I sent out a note on Sept. 5, you can find it here.

Reminder 1 – next week we will not be practicing at Merivale High School, due to parent-teacher night. As soon as an alternate venue is finalized, we’ll send out an email.
Reminder 2 – Paul suggests listening to Getz/Gilberto to get a real sense of Bossa Nova. I found it here but there seem to be many uploads if this one does not suit you.
